In today’s mobile society, more and more children are growing up without close ties to their grandparents. Very few children have their grandparents in their lives on a daily basis, so they miss the opportunity to learn who their grandparents really are and hear the family stories that used to get passed down from generation to generation. The first step in producing a video biography is a pre-interview consultation. This gives the client an opportunity to meet the videographer/interviewer and to learn about the process, and what preparations will be necessary for the interview.

The on-camera interview will usually take place in the client’s home, and will usually last for a couple of hours.

The final product will be a DVD or VHS tape containing the edited interview. The photographs will be inserted into the course of the interview in context, with tasteful transitions, along with background and incidental music. Titles will be added as well. Two copies of the movie will be provided on either DVD or VHS.
